The Texas State Technical College Waco Library is a member of the TexShare library system. TexShare is a state program that allows member libraries to give circulation privileges to other member library patrons.

When the materials are not available at the TSTC Waco Library, TSTC students who have a TexShare card have direct, personal access to those library materials of participating TexShare libraries, with privileges to borrow library materials from participating TexShare libraries.

The TexShare card for TSTC Waco Library students will have an expiration date that is two weeks before the end of the current semester and TSTC employees will be issued TexShare cards that will have an annual expiration date of August 31.

You must apply for a TexShare card at the Circulation Desk of the TSTC Waco Library from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday if you are either a:

• TSTC Waco employee;
• Currently enrolled TSTC Waco student taking on-campus classes; or
• TSTC Waco distance-learning student within driving distance of the TSTC Waco campus or taking any classes on the TSTC Waco campus.

Students in Texas taking a distance-learning course from TSTC Waco who are not within driving distance of the TSTC Waco campus or are not taking any classes on the TSTC Waco campus may request a TexShare card by doing the following:

First. Click on the Reference link on the TSTC Waco Library Website.
Second. Type in that you are requesting a TexShare card.
Third. Provide your name, student ID number, and address.
Fourth. Click on Submit to send the information.
After we receive and verify the information, we will send you a TexShare card by mail.

Our TexShare cards will only be issued to TSTC Waco Library individuals who have never had any lost materials or have never had any fines in the previous semester.

TexShare cardholders may consult the TexShare website for a listing of libraries which participate in the Card Program and the specific lending policies of the library you wish to visit.

When you present your TexShare card at the participating library's circulation desk to activate your checkout privileges with them, you may be required to also show a photo I.D.

All materials need to be returned to the lending library by their due dates or all materials must be returned to the lending library no later than the date indicated on the TexShare card, whichever comes first.

Any charges for late or lost materials will be the responsibility of the TexShare cardholder. Abuse of the loan privileges, such as refusal to pay for late or lost materials, will result in the loss of TexShare privileges and in the refusal of TSTC Waco Library to renew the TexShare card.
