| Campus Helpdesk changes coming |
Beginning Thursday, Oct.1, the Campus Helpdesk will go back to two separate Helpdesk areas. ONE AREA FOR EMPLOYEES, ANOTHER FOR STUDENTS. The names for the Helpdesk areas will also change; the Campus Helpdesk FOR EMPLOYEES will change to Campus Technology Support and the Student Online Services will change to Student Technology Support.
Campus Technology Support will again be housed in the NTS office, Room 131 in the John Connally Technology Center. This location is for FACULTY AND STAFF Only. When needed, computer equipment that is to be dropped off for maintenance should be delivered to this location.
Joe Sublett, coordinator for Campus Technology Support, and Sherry McNeil, Computer Network technician, will remain the main contacts for the Campus Technology Support area. They can be reached at ext. 3375. The technicians will continue to support their designated assigned areas.
Student Technology Support will remain in Room 136 in the Student Services Center.This area will be for STUDENTS ONLY to coincide with theone-stop-shop philosophy. Services offered to students will include password assistance for Online Learning, Internet Services, minor PC troubleshooting and virus removal.Janine Jones, coordinator for Student Technology Support, along with student workers, can be reached at ext. 3072.
Tech One Card Services will also remain in Room 136 in the Student Services Center to coincide with the one-stop-shop philosophy. Sharon Gatlin, coordinator for the TechOne Card Services, and Sharon Weems, staff assistant, can be reached at ext. 4825.
