The Automotive Technology will host the National Hot Rod Association's Top Fuel Driver, Antron Brown, in a special appearance at TSTC, sponsored by Matco Tools.

Beginning Thursday, Oct.1, the Campus Helpdesk will go back to two separate Helpdesk areas. ONE AREA FOR EMPLOYEES, ANOTHER FOR STUDENTS. The names for the Helpdesk areas will also change; the Campus Helpdesk FOR EMPLOYEES will change to Campus Technology Support and the Student Online Services will change to Student Technology Support.

| Texas Skill Standards Board Recognition |
Congratulations to Sid Bolfing, John Pedrotti and Megan Cooper on recognition from the Texas Skill Standards Board for the Solar Energy and Nanotechnology AAS degree programs. This recognition follows extensive work with the TSSB on skill certification and resulted in a $20,000 grant award, which can be used in the advancement of these new programs at TSTC. When budgets are tight, funds like these make a real difference.

Bush's Chicken on Crest Drive honored TSTC Waco President Elton E. Stuckly Jr. Sept. 8 when it named one of its dishes, "President Stuckly's Special." The liver and gizzards plate, one of Stuckly's favorites, is $4.39.

| New Parking Lots to be Constructed |
With the recent changes in the fee structure, there will no longer be parking fees for employees or students. This change will take place beginning with the fall semester. TSTC will continue to maintain designated employee parking areas; therefore, it will be necessary to continue registering any new vehicles and to display a parking permit in your vehicle.
